Tips for Protecting Your Aquatics Equipment from Rust.

Unfortunately, we can't always control the environments we have to work in. Electronics struggle in humid, hot and dirty environments.

If you're working in or around water, it's super important to take good care of your equipment to make sure it stays in top shape. One way to prevent rust is to use dielectric grease on all your ports, whether they're being used or not. That means everything from your network ports to your HDMI and USB ports.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn't turn off the power to your gear if it's stored in a humid place. Believe it or not, leaving the power on actually helps keep the electronics warm, which can help get rid of any moisture that could lead to rust. So, unless you absolutely have to, it's best to leave your equipment powered up when it's not in use.
